Below is a general framework for how this works. For the MOST detailed description of Collectives, check out our COLLECTIVES PROCESS document.

TO JOIN A CURRENT COLLECTIVE AS A MEMBER YOU CAN:
A) Go to the SHOP section on this site to see Collectives that are getting ready for production, if you see a design you love you can purchase a deposit straight from this site.

B) If you would like to help design a Collective, join one of the chats associated with each of the Styles listed and be part of the design process: DESIGN PHASE COLLECTIVES These can also be found in posts in the NM Insiders BST & Chat group

TO CREATE A COLLECTIVE AS A LEADER:

DESIGN PHASE
-Find a North Moor style on which to base your design on The Bags section of this website.
-Use screen shots of your desired leather, liner and the style and post your proposed design on the NORTH MOOR INSIDERS page on Facebook.
-You must confirm a minimum of at least 4 customers total (including yourself) who have agreed to that particular combination of bag style, lining, hardware, etc to qualify for production of your design. BUT the more members you have, the deeper the discount!
-Collectives must choose at least one strap. Up to 2 styles are permitted, members can add one or both to their order.

For each collectively designed style:
4 customers allow a bag to be produced
6-9 customers earn a 10% discount on each bag
10+ customers the discount on each bag is 15%

INCUBATOR PHASE
Once have your design decided and have at least 4 members you can contact Jess Reid (North Moor Insiders Admin) and you will be set up with a chat for your group. To gain members (and resulting discounts!), you will be added to the Designs in Progress page, the COLLECTIVE INCUBATOR and the SHOP page on this website.

At the closing date (usually the 20th of the month) your Collective will enter the Production Phase. Once your Collective is in production, you can track its progress here: COLLECTIVE TRACKER

PRODUCTION PHASE
There is nothing to do here but wait for your creation to come to life. Once it is finished, it will be photographed and posted on the North Moor FB page. Invoices will be sent out for the balance of the bags prior to shipping.

SHIPPING PHASE
Once the balances have been collected, the bags will be shipped via Priority Shipping and your confirmation will include a tracking number. Time to enjoy the fruits of your design effort!

COLLECTIVE POLICIES

Returns: A bag ordered from a Collective is considered a Custom and is not returnable if all details are correct as ordered. If you are unsatisfied for some reason, please contact North Moor and if there is something we can do to make it right we will do our best.

Errors: If the Collective Leader makes a mistake on the order form, and the bag is created using that order form, the leader is ultimately responsible for the resulting bags. In most cases, the members may decide to keep the resulting bags, OR together they can resell the bags that were made and remake the Collective with the correct details. North Moor is not responsible for mistakes made by the Collective leader or for misunderstandings among the leaders and members of a collective. If North Moor makes the error on the design, they will offer an option such as a remake, discount or refund depending on the situation.

Materials: If, for some reason, a Collective is unable to proceed as designed due to a materials shortage or tannery error the group will be offered options on how to proceed. They will  be offered new materials OR the option to receive a refund on their deposit. If there are some members who wish to proceed North Moor will accommodate rerunning the bag, including advertising on the website. However, the member number thresholds still apply for discounts. If the leader is among the members that decide to step away from the Collective, a North Moor representative will be appointed to help coordinate the Collective.

*Please note that these bags may have extras made to safeguard against errors or be recreated with the same design and sold as in-stock bags at any time. It is a testament to your beautiful design choices!!

**PLEASE be aware that with some prints, particularly larger prints, certain elements like animals or other desired features cannot have controlled placement. Bags that are produced in a group are cut together in a way that allows all bags to have ample liner. With a custom bag, placement is controlled since it is only the one bag.

***Often Orders are shipped together so you may receive a notification that a label was created but it will not enter the system for a few days as I gather several bags together for dropoff.

****Important: this is a relatively new endeavor, with many moving parts. If you are not feeling flexible or are worried about being part of something that is in progress, this may not be the option for you and Customs created in my studio would be a better choice (though exponentially slower). I will ALWAYS work with you to make sure you are happy, I just ask for patience while we grow.
